Griffin's Birthday Party
I can't say for certain, but I believe this is the first mosaic I have done with/for "baby Griffin." The pics were taken at his first birthday party in March 2013. He was loving those balloons! The accent papers came from a freebie I got from Creative Memories and the monkey stamp - I can't remember the brand right now - came from Stamping Buddies in Cincinnati.
The monkey theme has to do with Griffin's binkie - it has a stuffed monkey attached to it and he takes it EVERYWHERE - so rather than go with a character theme like we usually do for birthday parties, I made Griffin's "nasty nippy" - the feature on his poster and the stamp!!

My Niece's 4-H Project
Pay no attention to the disaster of a mess behind her! This is my niece, Isabelle, showing off of a few of the pages she prepared for her 4-H Scrapbooking Project. She got an A as her grade, but judging will come this week during the Warren County Fair! Send her some positive energy!!
In this layout Isabelle featured pictures of a cruise she took with her grandparents. Both pages have nautical rope embellishments, buttons, and coordinating paper for the photo mats, tags, etc. The paper on the right side is from Close to My Heart's "Majestic" line and she tied it in to the cruise patterened paper she had purchased, on the left side, by making her journaling block and tags from the same papers.
For this layout featuring pics of a turtle farm she visited in the Cayman Islands, Isabelle used a Close to My Heart page pattern as her foundation. The patterned papers are from Close to My Heart's "Footloose" line. Isabelle leaned an advanced 3-color stamping technique to make the turtles on these pages. She also stamped her own wooden button embellishments. For this layout, she learned how to use the Creative Memories shape cutting system to cut the oval picture.
This Dunns' River Falls layout was Isabelle's absolute favorite of all the ones we made. It was also built from a Close to My Heart page pattern and featured some patterned papers from the Close to My Heart's "Majestic" lie. Isabelle cut each piece herself, inked all the edges with coordinating ink using a sponge. She also learned about a variety of adhesives including red tape (for adhering ribbon), zots (for adhering buttons) and the Xyron "X" sticker maker to adhere the title letters she cut out using the Cricut "Opposites attract" cartridge.
And, of course, this one is my (Uncle Debbi's) favorite of them all because Isabelle let me teach her my Mosaic Moments technique to make a photo mosaic of her Butterfly Show pictures on Bahama Blue grid paper!
Cross your fingers that she gets a ribbon!!! We worked really hard!
