This Sunday!

Don't forget that we are having a Mosaic Moments Make-up Day and Demo Day at Stamping Buddies (4343 E. Galbraith Road, Deer Park, OH) this Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 1-4:30.

1.  You can pick up your new Mosaic Moments dies that were pre-ordered in August!!

2.  I will have my own dies on hand to show you how they work!  Tami Potter plans to release a new color-coded page pattern system that will make using the dies even more fool-proof for creating fun and exciting Mosaic Moments Layouts.

3.  I will have some of the We R Memory Keepers pocket pages and Mosaic Moments RTC papers to show you how to use small mosaic elements in your pocket system layouts.

4.  Stamping Buddies and I will have a wide assortment of grid paper colors - at least 20 colors!

5.  I will have a few Mosaic Moments class kits on hand for those who wish to make them there while I'm on hand to answer questions.

6.  I will have samples of my layouts from past classes that I have designed and held if you wish to make your own while I'm there to answer questions.  ($18 per class or $15 each if you do two or more).

September 29th is International Coffee Day

This layout was created in response to a Design Team Prompt asking for a layout about "What says Winter to Me?"  As you can see, it is a combination of warm cuddly things, not the least of which is my Keurig Coffee, so I thought this would be a fun layout to share for International Coffee Day!

According to Days of the Year, today is Wonderful Weirdos Day.   Now THIS could make for some fun pages!  Do you have any layouts that celebrate Wonderful Weirdos?

This layout is from my friend Erika, as a tribute to her mother.  Erika's children call their grandmother "Gue."

Are You Ready for Some Football?

So, a little birdy told me that it is the first day of the NFL season.  Whether you've got a PeeWee Football Player, a serious high school or college athlete, or are an NFL fan, football photos REALLY lend themselves well to mosaics.

The first layout here is a layout I did to celebrate my nephew's first Flag Football game.  I went all out, creating my own football laces using ribbon and football leather paper.

I rehashed the same layout from a sketch and taught it as a class using Creative Imaginations football papers.



This one is from former Design Team Member, Nancy Sanders.  She made it using the Oscar Page Kit from Mosaic Moments (Nancy Sanders' Football Fever):

These next two layouts are mine.  They were not made using the Mosaic Moments technique, but you can easily see how they could be converted over to mosaics, right?   

Wednesday, September 3 is "Another Look Unlimited Day"

According to the website Days of the Year, Today is "Another Look Unlimited Day."  

The website says:  "Planning to throw a load of old junk away? Stop!Another Look Unlimited Day encourages you to take another look through what you’re getting rid of to identify things which could be donated to charity, given to friends, or recycled in another way."


I think as Mosaic Moments scrapbookers, this is a great opportunity to look around you and see what things might make a great mosaic layout.  One of my students recently approached me at a crop for help with the layout.  The mosaic pieces around the border are pictures of PAPER CLIPS!  I think it is a perfect example of things you might have lying about that you should take another look at!

September 2014 is Piano Month

Did you know that this is Piano Month?  Well, it is!  So I thought it was a perfect time to bring back my own original creation, the Piano Layout!

When I created it, I thought it would be great for those school concerts, piano recitals, dance recitals, etc.   If you'd like a .pdf of the sketch, please shoot me an email and I will gladly share it with you so you can make it your own!
