Saturday October 25th is International Artists Day and World Pasta Day!

I shared this over the summer when my niece, Isabelle, created this Mosaic Moments layout for her 4-H project, but I'm sharing it again now because I just can't think of a more perfect layout to fit both International Artists Day and World Pasta Day!

Page Patterns and Die Sets

I'm sharing this post from a recent email I received from Tami Potter at Mosaic Moments because I think you'll find it quite inspiring.  As you can see, the page pattern uses two of the new die sets and really allows the artist's pictures to accent one another.  I hope you'll try one and share your samples with me!

Fall is a wonderful time to get many photographs! We have a great pattern for showing photos of fall leaves, a pumpkin patch, a corn maze and whatever else you can find this season. This pattern is perfect for the photo enthusiast since you can fit several mosaic style photographs. Also, learn why we love creating mosaic scrapbook pages. Get the full details on Mosaic Moments

Today's featured Page Pattern only used two different die sets: A and MM. Create this layout quicker and easier than ever with the new dies. To see all the different dies follow the link to the upper right to access the snapncrop shopping page.  You can also see today's pattern on the Page Pattern Gallery. In the gallery, you can print out the different patterns and see page samples.

I am having a major surgery today (10/22) and will be unavailable to take/deliver orders to you, but please do not hesitate to email me if there is something you need or to shop online using the snapncrop link to the upper right.  Thank you!

October 21st is also Apple Day

Today is also the day to celebrate Apple Day and another reminder of the ways you can use pics of apples (or any other fruit) to accent your pages.  Get creative and do a page titled "As American As Apple Pie" with all of your favorite Americana ephemera.  Or celebrate actual apple pies with pics of apples framing Grandma's recipe.  Maybe your family has apple trees or goes apple picking each year?  Do you can apple sauce or apple butter?  Be sure to document those memories with mosaic photo accents.

Have You Ever Heard of "Count Your Buttons Day"?

Ok, so apparently today, October 21st, is Count Your Buttons Day.  Now, I don't know exactly what that means or how we are supposed to celebrate (other than by counting buttons).  But I thought it might be a good time to remind you about taking pictures of your buttons and lots of other ephemera that might make for great mosaics, cards, layouts, etc.

Here are some pictures I found on pinterest.  What kinds of things do you collect - on purpose or inadvertently?  Snap some pictures and incorporate them into a layout.  I'd love to see your final products.

Information Overload Day

Today is Information Overload Day and I couldn't help but think that this is a great day to share this busy layout with brain overload.  This was a layout I made for a Mosaic Moments Design Team challenge where the assignment was to doodle over and around your grid squares.  The layout is a little crazier than traditional on-the-grid layouts, but it is pretty fun!

If you would like to see close-up pics and other notes about the creation of this layout, please check it out on my Journella post.

Today is World Teacher Appreciation Day

Apparently, October 5th is World Teacher Appreciation Day (World Teacher Appreciation Day) every year.  And, yeah, that just happens to fall on a Sunday this year.  But don't let that keep you from pulling out some RTC (ready to cut) Mosaic grid paper and whipping out one of these cool Mosaic teacher appreciation cards:

October 4th is World Card Making Day

Celebrate World Card Making Day by making a card with Mosaic Moments RTC (Ready to Cut) grid paper.  This paper is sold in 12x12  sheets but is divided into sections intended to be cut into smaller grids for use in card-making.   Here is a link to a fun tutorial from Mosaic Moments:  RTC Cards
