OPTION 1 - CLASS WITH X-FACTOR 2x3 DIE
You will pay $30 and I will provide:
1) class instruction and layout samples;
2) two sheets of base grid paper in the color(s) of your choice from the supply i have available on that date.
3) the 3x4 X-factor die set – a $20 value (before tax and shipping) - YOURS TO KEEP after class;
4) the use of my 4x4 X-Factor die set. I will have one set of these dies available to lend for student use to share during class.

 - X-Factor 3x4 die included with class

OPTION TWO - ADD ON THE X-FACTOR 4x4 (Save $3)

 - X-Factor 4x4 Die set available for use during class or as an add-on purchase.

There is a separate set of "new" X-factor dies that is currently sold out. If I have the opportunity to purchase those prior to our class, I will let you know.
You MUST bring the following:

1) Your own photos! Pay attention to the arrangement of the photos as you plan your own layouts and select the photos you wish to use – notice how the pieces are placed and keep the shape in mind as you make your selections. Bring more images than you think you will need. It is better to have choices when it comes to fitting the pics in the dies and on the grid. You may also wish to bring double prints in case you make any mistakes. 4x6" prints are recommended, although you may wish to go with some 5x7s depending on the scale/positioning of the people in the photos. It is NOT recommended that you purchase the "true" ratio prints that come out to be like 5.??" long as those may not fit the layout.
2) Your own cardstock or patterned paper that coordinates with your photos. I would say bring at least two sheets each of two different solids or patterns just to be safe.
3) Your own Big Shot or similar die cutting machine with platforms, plates, etc. for cutting wafer-thin dies. Two people may share if you don’t have your own but I honestly don’t recommend it as it will slow you both down.
4) Your own adhesive - Mosaic Moments recommends Herma Dotta repositionable adhesive. I suggest you also bring scissors or a paper trimmer. If you have the basic die set, it may make things go more quickly, but it is certainly not required.

PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL.
Please note that the class fees cover the cost of your dies, tax, shipping, paypal fees, base grid paper, securing the venue, and my time and effort in designing the layout, as well as my time in teaching the class.
REGISTER EARLY!!!! I will be turning in an order on Monday, June 17, 2019 to guarantee delivery by the class date. HOWEVER, if you purchase / pay by Wednesday, May 8, 2019, I will throw in FOUR additional sheets of grid paper on the day of class. For any orders after June 17, we may have to make special arrangements for you to place the order yourself. PM me if you are paying after 06/17.

Quilt Patterns a la Mosaic Moments! Class on June 15, 2019 at Noon

I've been feeling highly inspired by all of the quilt patterns I've been seeing other folks make using the Mosaic Moments dies. Over the next few months, I would like to offer a series of classes based on quilt patterns. This is Layout Number One. I'm going to work with a pastel color palette on mine so that all of my layouts will come together in one book. I'm planning on incorporating mine into a baby album, but you will be bringing your own solid color and patterned paper so you may choose whatever type of quilt you'd like (patriotic, vintage fabric look, etc.) You may choose to mat your photos on the colored blocks or you may choose to replace some of the pattern papers with photographs.

Page 1 is made using the 4x4 corner die set ($33.99) and Diamond Mine 4x4 die set ($26.99).

The Page Pattern Gallery

The Mosaic Moments Page Pattern Gallery is an amazing FREE resource to help you maximize the use of your die collection.

When you log into The Mosaic Moments Page Pattern Gallery, you have access to over 400 page patterns.  Each page pattern is printable, allowing you to design your own layouts when you're working away from your phone, tablet or PC.  So you pack a copy of the printed pattern in your bag or make DIY page kits with your photos, tools, embellishments, etc. to take to crops, etc..

Each page pattern is color-coordinated to work with the Color-Coded Basic Die Bundle.  When you look at the images, if they have a blue square, for instance, that pattern uses the blue Set A.  If they have a pink rectangle, they utilize the pink Set C.

When you hover your mouse over a page pattern, the image will change to show a completed page that was made using that page pattern.

Once you click on a page pattern, you will see a variety of samples utilizing that same page pattern.  I took a class with A Crafty Situation last weekend and I learned that, for instance, page pattern 344 which uses the 3x3 blue basic die in each corner, a 4x4 blue basic in the center, and and the 3x4 pink basic die on the middle of each side, can be modified to utilize a variety of the cool new dies.  Here are some samples that I copied from the page pattern gallery to demonstrate:

First- here's the basic pattern.

Here's a layout sample exactly following the basic pattern.
"Winter Summerland" by Tami Potter
Materials: 12x12 Sandstone grid paper, and patterned paper
Photos Taken at Walt Disney World

Here's a layout using the sweetheart dies.
"Reception Details" by Paije
Materials: 12x12 Petal Pink Grid Paper, 4x4, 3x4, & 3x3 Sweetheart Dies.

This sample uses the Puff N Stuff Die.
"Ronoake Island" by Paije
Materials: 12x12 Cabin Wood Grid Paper and the Puff N' Stuff Die
Photos Taken at the Outer Banks in North Carolina

This variation uses the strip frame die.
"Sadie In Gettysburg" by Paije
3x4 Strip Frame Die creates a new look for this basic block pattern.
Materials: 12x12 Graphite Grid Paper and 3x4 Strip Frame Die
Photos Taken at Gettysburg, PA

This sample was made following the same pattern, but using the x-favor die set.
"Bryce Canyon" by Paije
Materials: 12x12 Military Green Grid Paper, and the 4x4 & 3x4 X Factor Dies
Photos Taken at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah

In this rendition, the circle center die was used in the corners.
"Colonial Cole" by Tami Potter
Materials: 12x12 Forest Grid Paper, and 3x3 Circle Center Frame Die
Photos taken at Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia

Following the same basic pattern, this layout sample was made using the Horizon die set.
"Spring Day" by Paije
Materials: 12x12 Sky Blue Grid Paper, the Horizon Die Set, and pattern paper from Doodlebug Design™.
Photos Taken at Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia

And this sample was created using the Diamond Mine die set.
'Tampa Trip" by Paije
Materials: 12x12 Heatwave Grid Paper (Summer Collection), and the 3x4 & 3x3 Diamond Mine Dies.
Photos Taken at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida

Another cool aspect of the pattern gallery is that it cane be searched a number of ways.  You can search by the number of photos (design spots), the basic die set(s) used, and even by category (such as columns, strips, pinwheel, etc.)

American Girls

My My My - How quickly the time flies!  This week marks seven years from the time I took my nieces to Chicago for Spring Break so that they could visit the American Girl store.  The trip was EPIC and I love looking at these memories.  But I'm sad at how quickly these sweet little girls have grown up to be brilliant young ladies preparing for college and all of their future dreams.
