July 20, 2013 Cincinnati Crop - Mosaic Class Offering

On July 20, 2013, Shelly Allen (Close to My Heart) and I will be hosting a crop at the Cincinnati Church of Christ, 4220 East Galbraith Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45236 in the cafeteria.  Details about the crop and other class offerings will soon be updated on our blog:  www.scrapbookcropandshop.blogspot.com. 

            Minerva Mosaics is offering a beginning Mosaic Moments class where students learn the basic Mosaic Moments page layout system techniques – including measuring and cutting to fit the grid, photo taking and other tips. The class includes all papers and photos to complete two 12” x 12” pages.  I am thinking this layout would be great for pictures from the butterfly show.  Further, if you bring the photographs so that you can finish your page while at the crop, I am offering some prize drawings!  Students will gain valuable hands-on experience, and will leave the class feeling confident in using the Mosaic Moments system and inspired to create fabulous pages. You will be amazed at how easy the grid system is to use and how creating these great pages takes far less time than you could have ever imagined.

 

Supplies Provided to Each Student:

            ·  The Mosaic Moments 14” x 14” craft mat

            ·  Photos
            ·  Mosaic Moments Grid Papers
            ·  Paper Tiles and cardstock
            ·  Lil Chizler tool
            ·  Mosaic Moments Quick Glance Guide

Note: If you already have the Mosaic Moments 14”x14” craft mat, bring and use in class instead of the provided mat and receive a $20 credit to spend at the Minerva Mosaics table.

 

Student supplies needed:

            ·  Herma Dotto REMOVABLE adhesive
            ·  12” or 15” metal ruler with cork or rubber backing
            ·  A good quality craft knife or rotary cutter with sharp blade.

St. Patrick's Day Irish Layout!

 

 

Hey ladies!  It's been a while since I posted any new layouts.   I'm working hard on some new samples for classes so there should be more to come in the next couple weeks.  In the meantime, I wanted to share this layout that I worked up on Saturday while I was working at the St. Joseph's Crop a Lotta in Cold Springs, KY.  It was a great crop and I met some wonderful new mosaic fans.

 

This layout was made using a line of St. Patrick's day themed, double-sided paper from Reminisce.  It may be tough to see but there were some celtic knots, some shamrocks and some argyle/plaid papers  I couldn't decide between "irish" or "lucky" for the word on the left side, but I had someone who wanted to buy the layout on the spot so we went with her choice, Irish!  If anyone is interested in seeing this as a class, please send me an email and we'll try to get it on the calendar.

Our next crop will be on October 12, 2013 at Miss Bridgette’s in Lebanon. Early Bird registration is open now ($20 per person for 2 at a table or $35 for a full table for 1 person) and details about classes, etc. will be posted on our blog: www.scrapbookcropandshop.blogspot.com as they become available. Please remember that due to space constraints, we are limiting this October crop to 25 total tables (whether there are two croppers or one cropper per table) so if you want in, please don't delay!!!

In the meantime, I have cut and pasted information I have about various upcoming crops in this email. Please contact the organizers of each event directly, as I am not actively involved with running any of these other events. I have attached flyers, registration forms, etc that are available to me at this time.

Friday night, March 1, 6 pm-11pm; Saturday, March 2, 9 am-8 pm. We will provide lunch on Saturday, with breakfast and dinner on your own. Cost is $25. Please pre-register, as last year we had a great turnout and we want to plan enough table space for everyone.

Friday, March 8, 2013 - All day scrap at the church in Deer Park - this year we are opening the church at noon and closing at midnight. There is no charge but you must RSVP and reserve space. You may be required to bring your own table, as we will fill up quickly. This is just a bare-bones scrap time - come and go as you please, bring your own food or drink, you get to scrap for 12 hours and pay nothing. This is an excellent event for both beginning crafters and novice. For the beginners we will have many demonstrations. I will send out more information on this and get sign-ups mid-February.
